Job Title: Software Analyst

Salary: up to $85K DOE
Job Description:
The Analyst performs project management activities as they relate to software documentation, supplied by third parties in support of the final passenger car design.
This position is also responsible for the development of project specific software management plans to standards required by our customers.
The Analyst is also responsible for recommending hardware specifications for deliverables such as software workstations.
Contribute to the execution of the company's software management strategic plans. This can include the implementation, assurance, and execution of software management process improvements to the CMMI compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Review supplier software design, and lifecycle-related documents, for necessary technical requirements, content, and compliance with IEEE standards, EN Standards, and/or other standards when applicable.
2. Prepare plans and schedules for deliverables, such as software workstations and test equipment.
3. Prepare and track submission of SW related documents to the customer and suppliers.
4. Communicate with suppliers regularly to ensure deliverables are submitted in a timely manner.
5. Have a full awareness of all software related project deliverable requirements and schedule in order to support project goals.
6. Record and maintain Configuration Management records of suppliers' software, such as Software Modification Requests.
7. Support and enhance document and software version management.
8. Provide support to other departments, as required.
9. Perform other assignments as assigned by management.
Experience Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other IT field of study, or equivalent experience.
2. At least 5 years of experience in software implementation and maintenance. Experience or familiarity with the principles of embedded processor implementation is preferred.
3. Experience or familiarity with commercial/technical contracts, Supplier Management and Project Management principles.
4. Detail oriented with strong problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, which possess varying levels of technical expertise.
6. Must have a strong, independent, service orientation, with the energy and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Experience or familiarity writing formal software documentation. Familiarity with IEEE Software Engineering Standards, preferably 1558-2004.
8. Experience or familiarity writing formal software documentation. Familiarity with EN Software Engineering Standards, preferably 50716:2023 or 50657:2017, and EN 50128:2011.
9. Some experience or familiarity with Network protocols, principles of hard-wire/wireless LAN implementation and/or support.
10. Experience or familiarity with CMMI Institute Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a plus.
11. Experience or familiarity with ISO 9000 Quality Methods is a plus.
12. Experience of familiarity with the general cybersecurity concepts measures is a plus
13. Limited Travel may be required as part of position.
14. Experience using Windows 10, or later PC Operating Systems
15. Experience using MS Office.
