Job Title: Senior Principal DevSecOps Software Engineer

Job Type: Onsite – U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person only (active Secret security clearance required).

Overview

Senior Principal DevSecOps Software Engineer will design and implement advanced CI/CD solutions for air‑gapped embedded systems, lead DevSecOps roadmaps, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, high‑performance software for military communications.

Responsibilities
  • Co‑lead the advancement of DevSecOps roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Spearhead cutting‑edge DevSecOps tools and technologies.
  • Champion DevSecOps best practices across the organization.
  • Design and implement complex automation pipelines for embedded systems in air‑gapped environments.
  • Automate security testing and vulnerability scanning using static and dynamic application security tools (SAST/DAST).
  • Develop complex containerized environments and applications.
  • Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistent and scalable infrastructure.
  • Build dashboards for observability and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional product development teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Well‑versed in DevSecOps principles, benefits, technologies, and best practices.
  • Experience developing in air‑gapped, on‑premises environments.
  • Skilled in Bash and Python.
  • Seasoned experience with GitLab and GitLab Runners.
  • Expertise with containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, and IaC tools such as Terraform.
  • Seasoned experience in Linux environments.
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent artifact management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking and protocols.
  • Active U.S. government‑issued security clearance (must be transferable).
  • Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Hands‑on experience with embedded product development.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust and embedded environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate effectively, meet project milestones, and deliver high‑quality results.
