We're looking for passionate innovators to join our Generative AI and Embedded Software Integrated Solutions (GenESIS) team, where you'll help shape the next generation of embedded platform software powering Blue Origin's entire fleet of space vehicles! As part of GenESIS, you'll work at the exciting convergence of mission-critical embedded systems and cutting-edge Blue Origin Generative AI technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in embedded software development

  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming

  • Deep understanding of real-time systems, multitasking, and synchronization in embedded environments

  • Experience with software loaders, device drivers, middleware (I/O, BIT), hardware abstraction, and low-level interfaces

  • Knowledge of multiple hardware architectures (ARM, x86) and RTOS/Linux embedded environments

  • Experience with CI/CD environments and tools such as Gitlab, Jira, Confluence.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork experience

  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to collaborative team culture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with NASA Core Flight Software (CFE)

  • Knowledge of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT)

  • Experience in safety-critical software development within aerospace, automotive, or similar industries


Compensation Range for:

CO applicants is $181,626.00 - $254,275.35 WA applicants is $197,529.00 - $276,539.55

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
