Software Department team in Goleta, Santa Barbara County, CA is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to be part of their team supporting Electronic Warfare (EW) programs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience in software design, development, integration and test utilizing C / C++ and Ada, and software algorithm development.
  • Experience with embedded microprocessors, system on a chip software design, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, flash memories, block diagrams, signal analyses and signal generation, or similar.
  • Experience as technical / project lead.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Lab experience in product testing using logic analyzers, high-speed. oscilloscopes, signal generators, and system on chip debugging tools.
  • Experience developing real-time applications on embedded platforms, including bare metal (no-OS), embedded Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Experience tailoring Linux images for embedded devices.
  • Electronic Warfare Electronic Attack/Electronic Support (EA/ES), Radar, or Secure Communications technology knowledge.
  • Tool familiarity: Visual Studio, Vitis, Git, Jira, Collaborator.
  • Experience with interfaces and bus standards such as: PCIe, VPX, Gb Ethernet, RoCE and OMS.
  • Experience in software lifecycle phases: software architecture, system/software requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification testing, system integration, and post-delivery maintenance.
  • Experience with Radar technology, machine languages.
  • Experienced in Agile development processes.
  • Experience with machine learning.

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
