Job description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to support a company focused on advanced defense aviation systems and mission-critical logistics software for next-generation aircraft sustainment. This position is on-site in Bossier City, LA. The Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications supporting complex, integrated systems in a collaborative team environment. Join a mission-driven team directly contributing to the operational readiness of cutting-edge fighter aircraft. Responsibilities for the Software Developer include: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance enterprise-wide software applications
- Analyze system requirements and participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging efforts
- Develop and maintain applications using C/C++, Linux environments, and compiler toolchains
- Support system design, modeling, documentation, and troubleshooting of mission-critical software
- Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes within an iterative, team-focused environment
- Proficiency in C/C++, Linux, GCC, and Makefile systems
- Experience with system/software design, debugging, command-line tools, and version control (e.g., GitLab)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active Secret clearance
