Job description

Title: Business Analyst
Location : Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration : Long Term Contract
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support a large-scale Medicaid system modernization project and ongoing enhancements of existing applications. The role is embedded within a SAFe Agile environment and focuses on project oversight, systems analysis, and collaboration with multiple MES vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
  • Develop functional requirements aligned with overall business strategies.
  • Support the documentation and delivery of Medicaid IT-Contracted system enhancements.
  • Coordinate with MES vendors and internal stakeholders to support integrated IT solutions.
  • Prepare solution options, risk assessments, and financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build).
  • Contribute to process improvement and standardization of documentation in alignment with agency direction.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 4+ years analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs.
  • 4+ years experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong background in business process reengineering and documentation.
  • Familiarity with standard business process mapping techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Texas HHSC processes and Texas Medicaid/CHIP systems.
  • 2+ years experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
