Job description

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex initiatives supporting critical infrastructure solutions in Columbus, Ohio. This Long-term Contract position will guide cross-functional engineering efforts focused on embedded and control-based technologies used in data centers, communications environments, and commercial or industrial applications. The role requires a strong balance of technical depth and project leadership to keep schedules, requirements, and deliverables aligned with business and quality expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Direct end-to-end project execution for technical programs involving embedded control and power-related solutions, from planning through final delivery.
• Partner with engineering teams, customers, and internal stakeholders to define scope, clarify technical needs, and maintain alignment on milestones and outcomes.
• Translate system and client requirements into clear functional, architectural, and design documentation that supports successful development.
• Facilitate Agile team activities, including daily stand-ups and progress tracking, while helping teams remove blockers and maintain delivery momentum.
• Oversee development, validation, and integration efforts for embedded software and related system components to ensure performance and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle by guiding teams on design decisions, issue resolution, and execution risks.
• Coordinate testing activities for distributed control environments, including interfaces, databases, cybersecurity considerations, and network communications.
• Monitor project health using tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or Smartsheet, and communicate status, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet defined technical expectations and conform to established quality standards and operational objectives.• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience leading projects, programs, or products involving embedded systems or related technical platforms.
• Working knowledge of embedded hardware and software concepts, including electrical and electronic components, firmware, and communication protocols.
• Familiarity with microprocessors, microcontrollers, real-time operating systems, and programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
• Experience applying project delivery approaches such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall in technical development environments.
• Proficiency with project and collaboration tools including Jira, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Smartsheet.
• Understanding of quality assurance practices and standards relevant to embedded systems development and testing.
• PMP or similar project management certification is preferred but not required.
