·        Drive innovation and continuous improvement in our software development processes and toolchains.
·        Project and Client Management
·        Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle for multiple projects, from requirements definition through verification and validation.
·        Collaborate with Technical Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
·        Ensure all embedded software development activities comply with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485), including software requirements specifications, software architecture and design documents, and risk management and cybersecurity plans and assessments (including FMEAs).
·        Collaborate with Business Development staff to introduce prospective customers to the company’s capabilities and expertise and to develop technical proposals for new client work.
·        Team and People Management:
·        Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of embedded software engineers.
·        Conduct performance reviews, provide career development opportunities, and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
·        Recruit top talent and build a robust team to meet the demands of our growing business.

KEY SKILLS:

·  10+ years recent experience with modern embedded C++

·        Strong familiarity with modern software development tools (Git, SVN, or other industry-standard source control) and SDLC processes
·        Experience using Agile techniques, including task / issue management
·        Demonstrated commitment to high quality
·        Strong oral and written communication skills
·        Highly motivated, self-disciplined, independent and results oriented
·        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
