Job Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator role is an integral part of GOBHI's Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) team and supports the mission of GOBHI's TFC Program by increasing visibility, awareness, and engagement through strategic marketing planning and execution. This role plays a vital part in foster parent recruitment efforts and community education initiatives across the organization's rural and frontier service areas. This position is also responsible for creating dynamic social media and marketing campaigns to attract foster care families ultimately leading to increasing the conversion rate of certified foster homes. 

Essential Job Functions and Duties:

Marketing and Outreach 

  • Design and execute comprehensive marketing and engagement strategies that promote the TFC Program and recruit therapeutic foster families. 
    • Solicit feedback and input from TFC management and team members and generate a strategic plan with measurable outcomes. 
  • Create engaging content for print, digital, and social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and cultural relevance. 
  • Design, implement and maintain email and SMS campaigns for initial recruitment engagement and ongoing drip campaign outreach. 
  • Collaborate with the GOBHI communications team to coordinate campaigns, press releases, newsletters, and targeted advertising. 
  • Maintain and distribute outreach materials such as flyers, brochures, banners, and promotional items. 
  • Track and evaluate marketing metrics to assess the effectiveness of outreach strategies. 

Social Media and Digital Marketing

  • Manage and grow the TFC Program's presence on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. 
  • Develop and schedule regular social media content aligned with program goals and community engagement. 
  • Create and manage targeted advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) with varying objectives. 
  • Analyze and report on social media metrics to optimize performance and trend forecasting. 
  • Track and improve SEO performance. 
  • Copywriting / content creation - prefer experience creating trending and UGC-style content.
  • Develop appropriate social influencer relationships. 

Community and Partner Engagement

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to present and promote the TFC Program within community and professional networks. 
  • Attend public-facing events including community fairs, informational sessions, appreciation events, and training workshops as needed. 

Administrative and Reporting

  • Oversee, analyze, and provide reports from Meta Business suite and Google Ads advertising platforms. 
  • Submit monthly reports on engagement outcomes, trends, and improvement opportunities. 
    • Build custom reports relevant to individual platforms and objectives
  • Assist in compiling data for internal program evaluation and grant reporting. 
  • Maintain calendars for content scheduling. 
  • Attends weekly TFC team meetings. 
  • Attends weekly HR/Communication team meetings. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
  • Use program management tools to organize workflow. 

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills and follows through.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and work some evenings and/or weekends as needed. 
  • Maintain good driving record and required vehicle insurance. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Human Services or a related field and/or equivalent experience or a combination of education and experience required. 
  • Two years' experience in social media content creation, Meta Business suite and Google Ads advertising management,  marketing, and community outreach. 
  • Experience and understanding of the foster care system, and/or non-profit organizations preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Position requires regular travel within the service delivery area and some out of service area travel including overnight. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
  • Position is required to be located within the state of Oregon.
