We believe in having repairs/maintenance done right the first time and we trust that our Mechanics are not just throwing parts at Tractors/Trailers. We provide our Diesel Mechanics with their own workspace where they can show off their skills, knowledge and talents. SoCal Mobile Fleet is up to date on all diagnostic software. Our Diesel Mechanics have the ability for growth and movement within our company. We offer competitive pay, as well as *benefits* and pay raises based on performances. We have two locations in Fontana (we do not do mobile currently) and serve outside customers as well as work closely with dealerships in our local area. Our reputation is what we take pride in. As a Diesel Mechanic with us you will make an impact in the following ways:

(Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to)

• Complete troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on Tractors.

• Complete troubleshooting, repairs on Trailers

• Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines, including utilizing •computers/software in the process of diagnostic work.

• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.

• Completing required documentation, such as work orders documents.

• Completing all work on order but not limited to finding other issues on unit that were not noted. Inform service writer of additional issues, repairs to be made that were found.

• Listing all parts and fluids used on work orders.

· Understanding and comprehension of computer diagnostic software’s.

· Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

· Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area. While adhering to the company, local, state & federal policies and regulations as well as OSHA standards and requirements.

· Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, and related parts)

· Performs DOT inspections and repairs.

· Complete preventative maintenance and standard vehicle maintenance

· Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance

· Diagnoses complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable.

· Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.

· Replaces defective components as instructed.

· Identifies root cause of failures/conditions and perform repairs as required.

· Train other employees, act as a mentor

· Other projects or duties as assigned.

· Have 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy duty diesel mechanics.

· Work closely with service writer/office employees with part ordering, issues with units and productivity.

· Pay attention to detail.

· Full understanding and comprehension of filling out work orders and completion of them. Insure they are turned in upon completion of unit.

· Be organized and clean in your work area.

· Must have valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• LIFTING REQUIREMENTS: Frequently lifting 50 pounds. Anything over 50 pounds, is lifted with assistance.

• Carrying - Occasional - Weight 50 lb.

• Pushing - Occasional - Force 100 lb.

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.

• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.

• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants

• Ability to move and position heavy objects

• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles

• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
