Job description

Looking to apply world-class research to some of the most challenging problems in modern AI?

A well-funded, venture-backed AI company is hiring a Senior Research Scientist to help advance the next generation of machine learning and large language model systems powering mission-critical workflows across large, real-world industries.

The company recently completed a $250M Series E financing led by a top-tier venture capital firm and is rapidly expanding its research organization. You'll have the opportunity to influence both technical direction and the broader research agenda while helping mentor and elevate other researchers on the team.

We're especially interested in candidates with:

• A PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

• A research or publication track record

• Expertise in large language models, machine learning, statistical modeling, or optimization

• Programming skills in Python and modern ML frameworks

Compensation: Up to $360,000 base salary + equity + comprehensive benefits.

Location: San Francisco, CA (4 days/week onsite)
