Description

NexPoint is a multibillion-dollar alternative investment firm based in Dallas, Texas. The firm is structured around three major business areas: real estate, corporate credit and equities, and insurance solutions. NexPoint's businesses span asset classes, industries, and strategies, providing flexibility to invest across capital structures and market environments. Serving a diverse client base, NexPoint's investment strategies are offered in a range of vehicles and fund structures, including mutual funds, public and private REITs, tax-advantaged vehicles, private funds, and separate accounts.

Summary

This newly created role is ideal for a hands-on designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys translating complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals.

The Designer will work closely with Marketing, Communications, and National Accounts, as well as other internal teams, to create branded visual assets for digital platforms, internal and external communications, investor materials, client meetings, marketing campaigns, and conferences. This role plays a key part in shaping and maintaining NexPoint's visual identity across its brands and business lines while supporting high-visibility initiatives throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality graphics and layouts for digital and print use, including websites, marketing collateral, social media graphics, presentations, advertisements, product sheets, event signage, and conference materials.
  • Create polished, executive- and client-facing presentation materials for meetings, roadshows, investor communications, and internal leadership forums.
  • Develop and maintain brand-consistent templates in Microsoft Office and Canva to support teams across the organization.
  • Design and maintain website layouts, user interfaces, and interactive elements that enhance usability, engagement, and brand presentation.
  • Develop and update web content within WordPress, ensuring visual consistency, accuracy, and strong user experience.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing partners, third-party SEO vendors, and analytics resources to support performance and optimization initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Communications and National Accounts to support external messaging, client deliverables, conference collateral, and branded content needs.
  • Serve as a creative partner to internal stakeholders, translating business objectives and messaging into effective visual solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects and requests across teams, balancing timelines, priorities, and creative standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, web design, or digital content development.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, web design, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience editing and enhancing existing video content, including intro/outro slides, text overlays, basic motion graphics, splicing, transitions, and use of stock video or b roll.
  • Must be able to work on projects for multiple corporate entities, affiliates, and product lines and visually communicate a single, cohesive brand look & feel.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, XD or similar), Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word), and Canva Pro.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web publishing platforms; WordPress and Elementor experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, communicate design rationale clearly, and adapt creative solutions to diverse audiences.

Compensation & Benefits

NexPoint offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus based on experience and performance, along with a generous benefits package that includes industry-leading health insurance with no employee premiums or deductibles, 401(k) with employer match, paid parental leave, daily free lunch, monthly cell phone reimbursement, onsite gym membership, and more.
