Description
Summary:
The Department of Teacher Education and Leadership in the College of Education, Humanities, and Behavior Sciences at Alabama A & M University seeks one (1) faculty-tenure track member to teach Elementary Education courses. The position is a full-time, 9-month faculty position. The successful candidate will meet and instruct assigned classes in the designated site-based locations (mornings, afternoons, & evenings), and teach a minimum of 12 credit hours per academic semester. Interested candidates should submit credentials for evaluation. The rank and tenure-status of position is negotiable based on qualifications. The anticipated start date is August 15, 2025
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teaches graduate and undergraduate Elementary education courses, in both face-to- face and onlineenvironments.
  • Teaches graduate and undergraduate foundation courses, in both face-to-face and online environments.
  • Recruits and advisesstudents.
  • Participates in researchprojects.
  • Participates in continuous program improvement as required by the Alabama State Department of Education andCAEP
  • Serves as a mentor to graduate and undergraduatestudents.
  • Conducts an active research/publicationagenda.
  • Provides service to the university, community andprofession.
  • Serve on doctoral committees and/or chairing doctoraldissertations.
