Anticipated opening for the 2026โ€“2027 school year, contingent on final staffing needsย ย 

Job Title: Elementary Teacher

Reports to: Campus Principal

Location: In-Person, CASLV Tamarus Campus โ€“ย  Henderson, NV

Position Type: Full-Time, 10-Month (School Year)

Position Summary:

The Elementary Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and creating a safe, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environment for students in grades Kโ€“5. The ideal candidate is committed to student success, equity, and continuous improvement, and is aligned with CASLVโ€™s mission to foster academic excellence and character development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans aligned with Nevada Academic Content Standards and CASLV curriculum.
  • Create a classroom culture that supports academic achievement, social-emotional learning, and student ownership of learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including English language learners, students with IEPs/504s, and gifted learners.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic performance through proactive classroom management.
  • Use data from formative and summative assessments to drive instruction and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with grade-level and school-wide teams to support student achievement and professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and communication with families.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians about student progress and classroom updates.
  • Participate in school-wide events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development.
  • Uphold the values, mission, and policies of Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas.
Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid Nevada teaching license or eligibility to obtain one with an elementary endorsement.
  • Understanding of child development, instructional best practices, and content standards.

Preferred

  • Two or more years of successful Kโ€“5 teaching experience.
  • Experience in a charter or urban school setting.
  • Familiarity with data-driven instruction, PBIS, and SEL frameworks.
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency (especially in Spanish, Turkish, or Tagalog).
