Warfare Electronic Technician- Job Description

This role focuses on the repair, modification, and maintenance of a wide range of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems in a highly technical environment. You will work on complex, mission-critical systems and equipment, using practical electronic theory and specialized test instruments to ensure reliable performance.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems that are critical to operational platforms.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and disassemble electronic subassemblies in accordance with technical documentation and standards.
  • Wire circuits, replace components, and repair electronic assemblies to restore proper function.
  • Perform routine electronic preventive maintenance on special test equipment (STE) and test stations to ensure optimal reliability.
  • Perform test readings using instruments such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and Digital Multimeters.
  • Troubleshoot to the component level to identify root causes of malfunctions and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to validate performance and support engineering activities.
  • Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Apply practical electronic theory and use basic tools to support testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
  • Follow test procedures, work instructions, and other process documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interpret and work from schematics, diagrams, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to complete technical tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment while also working independently with minimal supervision as needed.

Full ST Pay Rate: $34.46 - $37.45

Breakdown

Base Pay: $29.37 - $32.36 an hour 

Fringe Pay: $5.09 an hour (for hours 1 - 40)

OT Pay:        $44.06 - $48.54 an hour 

Holiday:       11 Paid Holidays (eligible for Holiday pay after 30 days on contract) 

Sick Pay:       Accrued Sick Pay (eligible after 30 days on contract)

PTO:            Accrued Paid Time Off (eligible after 1 year on contract, but begin accrual from Day 1)

Work Environment

This position is based on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia, in a climate-controlled and recently renovated facility designed for precision electronic work. You will work on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 pm to 12:30 am. The role involves hands-on work with special test equipment (STE), test stations, Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), and a range of electronic test instruments including Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and Digital Multimeters. The environment emphasizes adherence to structured test procedures, engineering standards, and SCA guidelines, while supporting collaborative teamwork and safe, orderly lab practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.46 - $37.45/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
