Overview
CTG is seeking a Depot Technician to support the repair and refurbishment of point-of-sale (POS) hardware in a fast-paced repair center environment. This role is ideal for candidates with electronics repair experience who enjoy hands-on technical work and delivering high-quality results.
Location: Durham, NC
Duration: 12+ months, with possibility for extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair POS equipment, printers, displays, and system components.
- Perform bench testing, inspections, cleaning, and component replacement.
- Document repairs, parts usage, and inventory transactions using computer-based systems.
- Pick, pack, and ship equipment and replacement parts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist with training new technicians and support team objectives.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of electronics repair or hardware assembly experience.
- Experience using hand tools and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
- Strong computer, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to work shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, including rotational Saturdays.
- Computer hardware repair experience is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
