Job description

Looking to develop advanced electronics for metrology products that benefit society? Do you want to work at a highly stable company that values team members and work-life balance? We are looking for an Electronics Engineer or a Senior Electronics Engineer who wants to innovate and grow to the next level.

THE COOL THINGS YOU WILL BE DOING WITH YOUR TALENTS

You will be part of a dynamic team to research and develop next generation dimensional metrology solutions to reach sub-micron levels of precision and beyond. Your work will range from making significant improvements to current products, to developing brand new products from the ground up. Your efforts will directly contribute to solutions that allow Mitutoyoโ€™s customers to maintain high quality for the products that they manufacture. In your role, you will be responsible for designing, integrating and debugging mixed signal circuit boards into first concept prototypes, engineering prototypes, or test systems. Your designs will interface to sensors and our own in-house designed custom integrated circuits, involve signal processing and conditioning, and use FPGAs and microprocessors. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent performing layout for both self-designed circuits and designs developed by other engineers, while coordinating with PCB fabrication and assembly suppliers. Have an idea you want to try out? Our innovation project gives you room to explore. In addition, you will also collaborate and interact with many smart people both here and abroad, and have the opportunity to learn new skills.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

You are experienced in board level, mixed signal circuit design and simulation at 5V and below as well as in PCB layout and vendor coordination for fabrication/assembly. You are passionate about technology and are willing to collaborate to solve tough problems. You should have a willingness to take initiative and go deep with technical detail. Communicating simply and clearly is vitally important. Familiarity with different types of precision sensor techniques (such as optical, inductive, or capacitive) is very useful. Knowledge of FPGAs, microprocessors, microcontrollers, and DSPs will give you an edge. Additionally, digital design experience with Verilog or System Verilog is also highly valued, especially when it comes to ASIC design.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The salary range is $80,000-$120,000 per year for Electronics Engineer and $110,000-$150,000 per year for Senior Electronics Engineer. The successful candidateโ€™s salary will be determined based on job-related experience/ knowledge/ skills, education, and complexity and responsibility of the role.
