Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Powertrain Controls Engineer to join our team and lead the development and calibration of torque management systems for electrified powertrains. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with project management skills to drive innovation in EV controls development.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

  • Manage project timelines, task coordination, and resource planning
  • Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and optimize manpower allocation

Technical Development

  • Develop and calibrate powertrain control strategies, with focus on torque management systems
  • Design and implement control algorithms using Simulink and related development tools
  • Conduct vehicle testing at proving grounds and climatic chambers for controls tuning and validation
  • Analyze test data and optimize calibration parameters for performance and efficiency

Client Interaction & Innovation

  • Present testing results and technical findings to clients
  • Propose technical improvements and defend engineering solutions
  • Contribute to R&D projects to develop new services and capabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in internal processes
Qualifications

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in powertrain controls development and calibration, preferably in electric vehicles
  • Experience in torque management and powertrain control strategies
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and controls development toolchains
  • Project management experience in automotive engineering projects
  • Analytical mindset with creative problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
  • Customer-focused approach with ability to work autonomously
  • Flexibility to travel internationally as required
  • Valid B driving license (additional licenses are a plus)

Education

  • Master's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics, Automotive, or related field)

Languages

  • English: Fluent (mandatory)
  • Spanish: Valuable
  • Additional languages (German, French, Italian, etc.) are highly appreciated
