Role Overview

Totum Market and Eatery is seeking a Retail Pricing and Item Setup Coordinator to manage product data accuracy across the store’s POS system, electronic shelf label platform, promotional pricing execution, and new item setup workflows.

This role ensures pricing integrity across the sales floor by maintaining accurate UPC and PLU records, supporting weekly price changes and promotions, and ensuring electronic shelf tags, POS pricing, loyalty offers, and ecommerce listings remain fully aligned. The position works closely with buyers, receiving, department leaders, and front end teams to ensure all products are activated, priced correctly, and scan accurately at checkout.

The coordinator supports ongoing scan audits, promotional launches, and vendor item onboarding while maintaining compliance with Florida pricing regulations and retail scan accuracy standards. This role plays a central part in maintaining pricing accuracy, operational efficiency, and a consistent customer experience across in store and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Price Integrity and POS Data Management
  • Maintain accurate product pricing within the store POS platform including UPC codes, PLU numbers, department assignments and promotional entries
  • Execute scheduled price changes and promotional activations on time
  • Audit shelf pricing against POS records to maintain high scan accuracy across all departments
  • Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies identified at checkout or during internal audits
  • Support front end staff with scan corrections and pricing verification when needed
  • Ensure promotional pricing activates correctly across POS, loyalty offers and digital channels
Electronic Shelf Label System Management
  • Maintain accuracy across all electronic shelf labels including pricing updates, promotional flags and attribute labeling
  • Monitor synchronization between POS and ESL systems
  • Troubleshoot failed price pushes, connectivity issues and tag level display errors
  • Ensure shelf level pricing communication reflects current promotions and merchandising strategy
Signage and Promotional Execution
  • Print and place shelf labels where electronic tags are not installed
  • Coordinate execution of weekly ads, seasonal promotions and limited time offers
  • Support department teams with discontinued item transitions and pricing updates
  • Ensure consistency between shelf communication, promotional displays and system pricing
New Item Setup and Receiving Coordination
  • Create new item records including UPC, description, department classification and retail pricing

  • Maintain clean item setup standards supporting reporting accuracy and promotional execution
Compliance and Scan Audit Reporting

  • Document internal scan audits and support external pricing inspections when required
  • Track recurring discrepancies and report patterns to store leadership
  • Support compliance with OSHA safety practices and country of origin labeling where applicable
eCommerce and Loyalty System Alignment
  • Support synchronization between in store product records and eCommerce platforms such as Instacart, Local Express or eGrowcery depending on deployment
  • Ensure pricing, availability and product descriptions remain consistent across digital storefront systems
  • Assist with maintaining product attribute accuracy supporting dietary filters and search functionality
  • Support pricing accuracy across loyalty promotions integrated through AppCard or equivalent loyalty platforms
Systems and Equipment Operation
  • Operate scan guns, label printers and pricing software as part of daily workflow
  • Support scheduled scan audits and corrective action tracking
  • Maintain documentation supporting pricing adjustments and promotional updates
  • Assist with product data coordination between POS and inventory reporting systems
Technology Environment
  • This role operates within a modern retail systems stack that may include
  • LOC SMS or NCR Encor POS platform
  • Electronic shelf label infrastructure
  • Integrated loyalty systems such as AppCard

Requirements

Experience
  • Experience working with grocery POS systems such as NCR Encor or LOC SMS preferred
  • Experience supporting electronic shelf label environments strongly preferred
  • Experience managing retail price updates and promotional execution in a grocery environment preferred
  • Experience coordinating product data between POS and eCommerce systems is highly valuable
  • Experience supporting inventory or ERP connected retail environments is a plus
