Job description

Manufacturing Supervisor
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $30.00-$35.00/hr

Konik is partnering with an established precision electronics manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead employees within a hands-on assembly and production environment. The company manufactures small, highly engineered components used in demanding aerospace, defense, medical, and other high-reliability applications where quality, consistency, and attention to detail are critical.

This is not a desk-based supervisory position. The Manufacturing Supervisor will spend significant time on the production floor working alongside employees, learning manufacturing processes, training team members, inspecting work, reinforcing procedures, and helping the team achieve quality and production goals. The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or assembly leadership experience, enjoys developing employees, and understands the importance of following documented processes in a regulated, quality-focused environment.

Manufacturing Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Lead and support employees within a hands-on manufacturing and assembly environment, maintaining a strong presence on the production floor.
  • Train, coach, and develop production employees on manufacturing processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure employees consistently follow documented procedures, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor completed work for quality and accuracy while addressing production, workmanship, or process issues as they arise.
  • Lead by example by promoting accountability, reliability, teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
  • Help coordinate daily production activities and employee priorities to support quality, productivity, and on-time delivery goals.

Manufacturing Supervisor Qualifications

  • Previous experience supervising or leading employees within manufacturing, assembly, production, or a similar hands-on environment.
  • Experience working within a quality-focused manufacturing environment where documented procedures and work instructions must be followed consistently.
  • Comfortable working with detailed components, measurements, and tolerances as small as .001 inch; ability to understand basic manufacturing math and measurement concepts.
  • Willing and able to learn detailed manufacturing and assembly processes firsthand and remain actively involved on the production floor.
  • Experience in electronics, connector manufacturing, cable assembly, medical device, aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to train employees, provide constructive feedback, reinforce expectations, and motivate a team without relying on title or authority alone.
  • Post-secondary technical education or manufacturing training is helpful but not required; demonstrated ability to learn new processes and apply them consistently is more important.

Benefits

  • Hourly, non-exempt direct-hire position with overtime eligibility.
  • Consistent daytime manufacturing schedule.
  • Extensive hands-on training to learn the company's products, processes, and quality standards.
  • Opportunity to lead within a stable manufacturing environment producing highly specialized products for aerospace, defense, medical, and other demanding applications.
  • Health insurance, dental, 401(k), PTO, holidays, and other benefits to be confirmed.
