Job description

Overview:
ASR International Corp is seeking a contractor Electronic Assembler role with background in the Electrical Equipment / Panel Building Switchgear, MCC panels, control cabinets industry at a workshop facility located in Minden, NV. 
The Electrical Cabinet Assembler is responsible for assembling and wiring cabinets in accordance with engineering drawings, and work instructions. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with hand and power tools, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Location:  1631 Bently Pkwy South, Minden, NV 89423
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday through Friday(or 2pm-10:30pm if available for 2nd shift).
Contract Duration:  up to 12 months, possibility of extension
Typical Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electrical control cabinets and panels according to engineering drawing and wiring diagrams
  • Install components such as relays, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, and wiring.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings accurately - misreading schematics or wiring diagrams can lead to faulty assemblies or rework.
  • Complex wiring tasks - requires precision in routing, labeling, and terminating wires correctly.
  • Component installation accuracy - ensuring correct placement of relays, breakers, and terminal blocks without errors.
  • Maintaining consistent quality standards - even small mistakes can compromise electrical functionality or safety.

Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring, or similar manufacturing environment preferred.  Experience with AutoCAD preferred. 
  • Industry experience with Electrical Equipment / Panel Building Switchgear, MCC panels, control cabinets preferred. 
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Basic understanding of electrical components and wiring practices.
  • Experience with industrial control panels or electrical cabinet assembly.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.  Repetitive work without losing focus.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be results driven with a keen eye for detail and being detail oriented.  High level of precision required.  Adherence to exact specifications.  Must follow instructions precisely without shortcuts.
  • Showing up consistently and on time.
  • Completing tasks accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly; Ability to stand, bend, and work for extended periods; Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for detailed work; Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (may include noise, dust, and varying temperatures).
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
