Job description

Technical Field Specialist – Automated Parking Systems & Stackers

Location: Plainsboro, NJ or North Jersey (remote flexibility within the region)
Travel: Frequent travel across NJ, NY, PA, DC, and nationwide


About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Technical Field Specialist with a strong background in electromechanical systems. This is a field-based role for someone who thrives on troubleshooting, system support, and ensuring successful installations of high-end automated parking systems and stackers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation and commissioning of automated parking systems at project sites nationwide

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Deliver training and technical guidance to installers, service teams, and maintenance personnel

  • Perform preventative maintenance reviews to maximize system reliability

  • Provide on-site customer support and technical expertise (non-sales role)

  • Conduct client and partner training sessions on system operations

  • Maintain clear documentation of service activities, issues, and resolutions


Qualifications

Technical Skills & Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience with parking systems, elevators, automated systems, or other electromechanical equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

  • Installation, service, or maintenance experience with automation/mechanical systems a plus

Education & Certifications

  • Technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or automation systems preferred

  • OSHA certification and field training a plus

Soft Skills & Work Style

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently

  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and customer-facing skills

  • Comfortable working in dynamic, on-site environments

Additional Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • English fluency required; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
