Job description

Company Description

For almost 60 years, Converse Electric has been serving Columbus and the surrounding areas in all types and sizes of electrical projects, specializing in commercial and industrial projects -with solutions including new construction, remodels and additions, design/build, lighting control, fire alarm and more.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, alteration, addition and/or repair of electrical systems.

As our Journeyman Electrician, you should be able to:

  • Perform all electrical tasks with general supervision
  • Read blueprints
  • Understand and be familiar with rough-in work
  • Install feeders
  • Size wire and conduits
  • Install and terminate switchgear and devices
  • Prepare layout for installation, including underground layouts and rough-in
  • Comprehend electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code

If you have experience in the following, it's a plus:

  • Install, troubleshoot and terminate control wiring per drawings
  • Troubleshoot motors and controls
  • Fire alarm systems (with current fire alarm license)
