Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Huntsville, AL. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within commercial and service-oriented environments. This role requires a professional capable of troubleshooting electrical components, adhering to strict safety standards, and delivering high-quality workmanship on service-based projects.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and transformers.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions to perform necessary corrective repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
  • Bend and install various types of conduit to accommodate specific wiring paths and infrastructure needs.
  • Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe workspace by strictly following National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on commercial or service-related electrical projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building standards.
  • Possession of standard electrician hand tools and necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Huntsville, AL area.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and poles as required by the job site.
  • Physically capable of pulling heavy wires and cables through conduit systems.
  • Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and loud noise areas.
  • Visual acuity to accurately discern color-coded electrical wiring.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time during a shift.
