Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Huntsville, AL. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures, the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams, and experience with working independently or as part of a team on contract assignments.

Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, transformers, and switches.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan installations.
  • Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate specific wiring needs of the project.
  • Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using various testing devices to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Ensure all electrical work is completed in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an electrician in commercial or industrial electrical installations.
  • Deep knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and industry safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and a standard set of electrician's hand tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to job sites in the Huntsville, AL area.
  • Dependable and punctual with a commitment to meeting project deadlines under contract terms.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
