Job description


The Electrician will be accountable for the efficient operation of all the electrical-related equipment and instrumentation throughout the facility, both inside and outside of the building. This position is also responsible for the successful utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Additional Information:
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm
This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.
Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors.
Responsibilities
  • Compliance with safety rules and procedures
  • Operate shop tools and maintenance equipment, and as many machines related to maintenance as skill level will permit
  • Ability to make repairs and adjust machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components
  • Assist in electrical projects and repairs and performs minor electrical repairs
  • Understands basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams. Familiar with 12 VDC to 480VAC electrical wiring or circuits and capable of diagnosing 115 VAC control circuitries.
  • Maintains and services a range of building equipment such as HVAC, lighting, water and sewer systems, etc.
  • Perform certain portions of repairs to power industrial equipment, assists in rebuilding of related equipment.
  • Assist in installation of new plant equipment
  • Assists other departments as needed.
  • Perform duties related to the Journeyman position
  • Compliance with all Divisional and Site initiatives such as eAM
  • Ability to work with computers to process required paperwork

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
  • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience in manufacturing or distribution facility
  • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience with AC and DC electric

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have an industrial, electrical and/or welding certification or license
  • Have at least two (2) years of work experience with AC and DC electric
