You’ll work hands‑on in the field while also providing guidance to journeymen and apprentices. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys solving complex electrical challenges, and thrives in a collaborative, detail‑driven environment.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to journeymen, wiremen, and apprentices
  • Review and interpret blueprints, one‑line diagrams, and designer lighting plans
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions
  • Collaborate with project managers, builders, designers, and homeowners to maintain project alignment
  • Assist with project planning, material selection, and job sequencing
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to safety protocols on all job sites
  • Document work performed, field changes, and material usage
  • Support integration of smart‑home systems, low‑voltage components, and specialty fixtures (training available if needed)

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Master Electrician License
  • 7+ years of residential electrical experience (custom home experience strongly preferred)
  • Expert‑level knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support field teams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle complex installations
  • Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed plans, schematics, and engineered drawings
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and active construction environments

Benefits

  • Competitive pay based on experience and license level
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Ongoing training in advanced electrical systems, smart‑home technology, and custom home applications
