Description

An Electrician at SOMAR installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and components on company vessels, structures, vehicles, and equipment. The Electrician SOMAR operates a variety of power and hand tools in the accomplishment of assigned duties, reads and comprehends installation & repair manuals, and understands blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.

This position works with a high regard for personal and coworker safety, and in compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) and state and federal health and safety standards.

Requirements

The incumbent shall possess an Industrial or Manufacturing Electrician's License (Marine Electricians License preferred) as well as three years experience as a journeyman electrician preferably with marine experience.
