Job Title: Industrial ElectricianJob Description

This role focuses on performing service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities. You will work on low and medium-voltage systems up to 4160V, modernize legacy electrical infrastructure, and ensure all work complies with current electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures while traveling to customer sites across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Perform service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on electrical systems in industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Support upgrades and retrofits to modernize legacy and aging electrical infrastructure.
  • Work on low and medium-voltage systems (up to 4160V), including distribution equipment, panels, and switchgear.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in aging electrical systems and equipment to improve reliability and safety.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams to plan and execute work accurately.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and internal company procedures.
  • Coordinate effectively with site contacts and internal teams to complete work efficiently and minimize downtime.
  • Travel daily or for short durations to customer sites across the region, using a company-provided vehicle.
  • Apply knowledge of historical electrical code standards to assess and work safely on existing systems.
  • Document work performed and communicate findings, recommendations, and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
Essential Skills
  • At least 3 years of experience working with 4160V medium-voltage electrical systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial or industrial experience as a facilities electrician.
  • Journeyman electrician license, journeyman certification, or journeyman card.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams.
  • Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Proven experience diagnosing and repairing issues in aging and legacy electrical systems.
  • Ability to work safely on low and medium-voltage systems, including distribution, panels, and switchgear.

Work Environment

A company vehicle is provided for travel, and the company supplies all specialized tools required for the job, while you bring your own basic hand tools. The role is field-based in industrial and commercial facility environments, requiring adherence to standard safety practices and appropriate work attire suitable for electrical and industrial settings.
