Job Summary

  • Under direct supervision performs electrical tasks and operates platform lifts
  • Properly mounts and installs assigned work, conduit, wires, and strapping as directed
  • Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment at all times 

Qualifications

  • Current registration in JATC Apprentice Program Area I (Portland, OR) or IEC Apprentice Program Area II (Salem, OR)
  • Commercial electrical experience
  • Good attendance and passing grades in apprenticeship training school
  • Ability to operate platform lifts
  • Ability to accurately identify colors of wire & conductors
  • Ability to use 2 handed tools/equipment (i.e. cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly learn hand conduit bending to ensure timely installations
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
