Join our team in Urbana, where you'll help keep our manufacturing operations running by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and electrical systems. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing 480V three-phase electrical systems, motors, starters, relays, sensors, and control circuits, while also supporting mechanical systems such as hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and steam equipment.
We are seeking a well-rounded Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong experience in electrical troubleshooting and equipment repair in a manufacturing environment. Some manual machining and fabrication may be required to support repairs, but the primary focus of this role is maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

How you'll make an impact...
  • Perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment, including diagnosing issues with 480V 3-phase motors, motor starters, relays, switches, sensors, and control circuits to quickly restore production operations.
  • Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Support equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance
  • Repair and maintain pumps, gearboxes, motors, and mechanical systems
  • Perform fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG preferred)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Work closely with Maintenance and Production to resolve equipment issues
  • Install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery including pumps, gearboxes, and mechanical drives.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, replace components, and work with 480V 3-phase systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and follow blueprints and schematics to ensure safe, reliable equipment operation.

What do you bring...
  • Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience (Skilled Trades program, military technical background, etc.).
  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Must be well-rounded in: Electrical troubleshooting and Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Strong ability to diagnose root causes of mechanical and electrical failures and perform reliable repairs independently.
  • Welding (MIG and TIG)
  • Experience working with 480V 3-phase systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and VFDs.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, meters, and mechanical service tools.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and support operational goals.
