Position Overview
This is a senior-level leadership opportunity for an electrical engineer who wants to work on complex, high-performance facilities that directly impact critical infrastructure and community development. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, PE, you will lead the design and coordination of sophisticated electrical building systems across healthcare, mission critical, higher education, and large-scale commercial projects. From concept through construction, you'll play a key role in delivering resilient, intelligent, and future-ready environments.
The Integrated Design & Advisory (IDA) group combines architecture, engineering, planning, and strategic advisory services into a highly collaborative project delivery model. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives solving technically demanding challenges while mentoring junior staff, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to meaningful projects that require both technical depth and strategic thinking.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and coordination of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and specialty systems across complex building projects
  • Produce and oversee high-quality construction documents, drawings, and specifications utilizing Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, reviews, and collaborative knowledge sharing
  • Participate in client meetings, project presentations, and technical discussions with confidence and professionalism
  • Support business development efforts through proposal participation, scope development, and fee estimating
  • Conduct field investigations, site assessments, and construction-phase support activities including RFIs, submittals, and technical coordination
  • Ensure compliance with NEC standards, project specifications, and engineering best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and technical excellence across the engineering team
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and schedule accountability

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in building electrical systems design
  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
