Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Serves as a senior electrical systems engineering expert responsible for leading complex design initiatives and influencing engineering standards across projects. Provides technical leadership and guidance for cross-functional engineering teams and drives resolution of complex electrical system engineering challenges. Will also create critical requirements documents, perform advanced system modeling, and evaluate system architectures related to braking systems.

Key Deliverables of the Position:

1) Develop advanced electrical system architectures and design solutions for complex engineering challenges.

2) Lead cross-functional engineering teams during system integration and design development.

3) Create, review and approve electrical designs, analysis results, and technical documentation.

4) Conduct advanced failure mode analysis and implement robust engineering solutions.

5) Influence engineering design standards, safety practices, and quality guidelines across projects.

6) Mentor engineers and support development of technical capability across the team.

7) Support program technical reviews and strategic engineering initiatives.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of engineering experience; Master's degree preferred
  • Expert knowledge in electro-mechanical systems and controls
  • Works with a high degree of independence


Technical Competencies

1) Advanced electrical architecture and system design

2) Cross-discipline system integration and problem solving

3) System Safety Analysis, failure analysis and reliability engineering

4) Engineering design standards development

5) Leadership of complex technical initiatives

8) Aerospace embedded electronic control and/or software engineering project engineering experience, especially with non linear controls

9) ARP4754 experience

10) Experience with structured aerospace requirements decomposition and definition of resulting system and component requirements

11) Experience with BLDC motor design, control, and modeling

12) Experience with Simulink modeling of systems, controls, and real time simulations

13) Comfortable working with and providing technical guidance to aircraft OEM engineering teams, supplier teams, and internal teams.ย 

14) Proficient Computer Skills: Simulink, Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point

15) Excellent Communication Skills - both verbal and written
