Position Overview:
  • Seeking a highly motivated Systems Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer to support the integration, testing, and validation of hardware in laboratory and field environments.
  • This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with both in-house developed systems and COTS/GOTS components while contributing to mission-critical defense programs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, document, and maintain solutions for system integration and testing of components, subsystems, and systems.
  • Translate customer requirements into system test solutions that balance technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Establish functional and technical specifications and standards.
  • Resolve hardware/software interface issues and define input/output parameters for seamless integration.
  • Review requirements for testability and develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate subsystem and system-level testing activities across teams and organizations.
  • Perform analysis of test results and generate detailed evaluation reports to validate system performance.
  • Document issues through discrepancy reports and conduct regression testing to verify corrective actions.
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware integration and testing in both lab and field environments.
  • Support vendor selection and procurement of test-related hardware.
  • Utilize mechanical design tools (Windchill, Creo, SolidWorks) to assist with tooling for integration activities.
  • Develop procedures, lead reviews/approvals, and implement updates as needed.
  • Travel as required for testing events and customer meetings; expenses covered.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline from an accredited college with 5+ years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in: Electrical troubleshooting, Testing in laboratory environments, Electrical system testing and writing technical reports and procedures.
  • 1–2 years of experience using CAD/CAE tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors during test events.
Desired Skills
  • Background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience supporting test planning and execution for flight or field test events.
  • Knowledge of lean practices for test and integration efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at multiple levels.
