Sunshine Lighting Company is seeking a skilled, motivated, and dependable Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. We are a Kansas City-based company specializing in commercial lighting, electrical service, sign maintenance, and electrical upgrades for commercial and industrial customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in solving problems, and wants to play a key role in helping build a growing business.


What Youโ€™ll Do

โ€ข Perform commercial and industrial electrical service work

โ€ข Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, lighting systems, controls, and equipment

โ€ข Install, maintain, and repair electrical components both indoors and outdoors

โ€ข Diagnose problems and develop practical solutions for customers

โ€ข Work safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship

โ€ข Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members

โ€ข Assist with lighting upgrades, service calls, sign maintenance, and electrical improvement projects

โ€ข Help identify opportunities to improve processes and support company growth


Qualifications

Required:

โ€ข Current Journeyman or Master Electrician License

โ€ข Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience

โ€ข Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

โ€ข Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record

โ€ข Ability to work independently and as part of a team

โ€ข Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Preferred:

โ€ข Experience with lighting systems, controls, and energy-efficient upgrades

โ€ข Experience with sign electrical systems and exterior lighting

โ€ข Lift certification or experience operating aerial lifts

โ€ข Service technician experience interacting directly with customers
