About the Opportunity

An established and growing commercial electrical contractor in Central Florida is seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of projects from estimator turnover through final completion.

This is a hands‑on Project Manager position for someone who understands that successful electrical project management requires more than paperwork. You’ll regularly visit active jobsites, work directly with Superintendents and Foremen, stay ahead of manpower and material needs, and solve problems before they impact the schedule or budget.

The company works across healthcare, education, institutional, commercial, and industrial projects, with typical project durations ranging from approximately 8 months to 2 years.

What You’ll Do
  • Take ownership of commercial electrical projects from turnover through closeout.
  • Participate in project turnover and strategy meetings with estimating and field leadership.
  • Develop buyout packages and make purchasing recommendations.
  • Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews.
  • Maintain a strong presence on active jobsites and visit projects regularly.
  • Manage multiple commercial projects at different stages.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively plan manpower requirements.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate lighting controls, equipment, and other electrical scopes requiring advance planning.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, manpower hours, WIP, and overall financial performance.
  • Manage project billing and financial responsibilities.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate with GCs, owners, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Stay current with electrical codes and identify when changes affect project execution.
  • Develop alternate solutions when issues arise and keep projects moving forward.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of proven Project Management experience in commercial electrical construction.
  • Strong electrical construction knowledge.
  • Experience with submittals, RFIs, change orders, scheduling, procurement, and project documentation.
  • Procore experience preferred.
Preferred Experience

Healthcare and hospital construction, education and school projects, institutional construction, lighting controls, Central Florida market knowledge, and experience with longer-duration commercial electrical projects are all highly valued.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $125,000–$140,000 base salary
  • Performance-based project bonus opportunities
  • Approximately $25,000 bonus potential for experienced PMs
  • Additional year-end/Christmas bonus
  • Take-home company truck
  • Florida Blue medical insurance options
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • $50,000 company-paid life insurance
  • 401(k) with 100% match up to 3%
  • 2 weeks PTO after 90 days with additional 2 weeks after 1 year
  • Relocation assistance of approximately $5,000–$10,000 may be available
Why Join This Team

This is an opportunity to step into a high-ownership PM position with a growing commercial division and have a direct impact on how projects are executed.

You’ll have the resources of an established Central Florida contractor while working in a down-to-earth, team-oriented environment where people help one another rather than operate in silos. The role offers meaningful exposure to the field, the office, customers, and leadership, giving you the opportunity to influence projects rather than simply administer them.

For the right Project Manager, there is significant room to grow as the commercial division continues expanding and the company places greater emphasis on operations, project execution, and long-term leadership.

Looking forward to your application!
