Job description

Electrical Controls Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of control systems for industrial manufacturing equipment. This role involves electrical system design, PLC programming, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial equipment.

  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems.

  • Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation.

  • Support equipment testing, startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize system functionality.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.

  • Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation activities.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience with electrical controls, automation, and industrial equipment.

  • Strong PLC programming experience; Allen-Bradley preferred.

  • Knowledge of Siemens controls is a plus.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
