Job description

The Electrical Controls Engineer leverages expertise in advanced control systems to design, program, and optimize custom machinery tailored to meet unique customer specifications. Machines are fully assembled and tested at the facility before delivery to customer sites. This role emphasizes high-level coding, Beckhoff PC-based machine control, Fanuc robot programming, and vision system integration.
* Develop and implement advanced control system software for custom machinery, focusing on Beckhoff PC-based control systems.
* Program and optimize Fanuc robots for integration into automated systems.
* Integrate and configure vision systems to enhance machine functionality and performance.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to design and validate control system architecture.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including control logic, program structure, and user manuals.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems during assembly and testing.
* Assist in system commissioning at customer facilities when required.
* Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve machine performance and reliability.
Education & Experience: Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with extensive experience in control system design, programming, and PC-based machine control using Beckhoff TwinCAT.
Robotics & Automation: Proficiency in Fanuc robot programming (including path planning and optimization) alongside experience integrating vision systems such as Cognex or Keyence.
Electrical Systems & Networking: Strong understanding of industrial control components, electrical systems, and industrial communication protocols, specifically Ethernet/IP; familiarity with Allen Bradley RSLogix Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View is a plus.
Core Competencies: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
