Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Reports to: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for producing highly detailed construction drawings and specifications, performing complex electrical engineering calculations, & coordinating with internal & external project team members to ensure successful project delivery. This role will be integrated into a highly technical team, demonstrate strong analytical capability, & consistently deliver highโ€‘quality engineering solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Lighting system design including photometric analysis & fixture selection
  • Emergency/standby power system design including generators, UPS systems, & automatic transfer schemes
  • Code analysis including NEC, NFPA, IBC, & local amendments
  • Engineering studies including but not limited to fault current analysis, selective coordination, arch flash, voltage drop calculations, and Neher-McGrath calculations.
  • Coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, & lowโ€‘voltage disciplines
  • Review of submittals, RFIs, & constructionโ€‘phase documentation
  • Participation in internal QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy & completeness of deliverables

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for electrical modeling and design
  • Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills with consistent onโ€‘time project delivery
  • Proven success working with all levels of management & crossโ€‘disciplinary teams
  • Ability to function effectively in a fastโ€‘paced & occasionally highโ€‘pressure environment

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related engineering field is required
  • 0โ€“7 years of electrical engineering design experience
  • E.I.T. certification preferred but not required
  • PE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plus
  • Experience in missionโ€‘critical, industrial, commercial, or similar environments preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
