We contribute to successful development, certification and testing of electric vehicles. Our people work with leading edge technology across multiple programs in a small company atmosphere.

We have an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer who will work with the Pilot team as we help one of our clients to bring a new Electric Vehicle to the market. The role will be customer-facing and fast-paced. You will need to navigate ambiguity and take decisive action. You will be technically curious, transparent in your communication and be able to perceive problems and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop requirements for various subsystems (Propulsion, Body, Chassis, Electrical and Safety), taking into consideration related regulations and standards.

  • Design/Develop system concepts and architectures.

  • Maintain traceability, of the system, to the requirements.

  • Perform DFMEAs.

  • Plan and execute testing and validation.
  • Lead technical reviews.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar roles.
  • Experience of working with Electric Vehicles and High Voltage Systems.
  • Experience with UML / SysML.
  • Controls algorithm design experience using Mathworks and/or C++.
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.) and associated development tools.
  • Experience in system verification and validation testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare technical documents and presentations.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and relevant SAE standards.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR and functional safety.


Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Expertise in vehicle supervisory controls development using C++ / MATLAB / Simulink.
  • Expertise in advanced diagnostics and prognostics.
  • Experience with Battery Management Systems.
  • Experience with Secured Gateway Modules.
  • Expertise in Vector software tools.
