Strategy Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Designer – Lead who will take a hands‑on role in detailed I&E design activities across a variety of offshore and onshore oil and gas projects. This position is not only responsible for producing technical deliverables but also for leading the Electrical & Instrumentation Design team, managing workload distribution, and contributing to the strategic success of the department.

As a successful candidate, you will own key electrical system design deliverables, such as PLC panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and one‑line diagrams, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. You will also work closely with project managers and multi‑discipline leads to coordinate design efforts from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Design department, including team coordination, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Provide technical direction and design oversight on project deliverables.
  • Develop design estimates and level‑of‑effort proposals for new work and project bidding.
  • Distribute work to the design team based on skill sets and project requirements.
  • Coordinate resource scheduling and monitor workloads to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
  • Perform electrical and instrumentation design for onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities.
  • Generate design documents such as PLC panel layout drawings, one‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, lighting layouts, and installation details.
  • Interface and collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, and other discipline leads to ensure cohesive, cross‑functional execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation design, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, including 3D modeling, and Navisworks.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities design standards.
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Skilled in producing detailed design drawings and reviewing vendor documentation.
  • Experience with wiring installation details and creating construction‑ready documentation.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
