Material Handler and Delivery Driver - Milwaukee, WI
Standard Electric Supply Co. is a family-owned company that is celebrating 106 years of service. We are a wholesale distributor of electrical and automation supplies. We have 16 locations across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Material Handler and Delivery Driver to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers, while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse, ensuring that all products are properly stored and organized utilizing our handheld barcode scanners. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can effectively communicate with team members and customers to ensure we provide exceptional customer service.
The compensation range for this position is $20 - $22 per hour. Please note that the compensation range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, CDL not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted required.
  • Valid DOT Medical Certification Card, or ability to obtain one upon hire (company will arrange the required DOT physical appointment).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a warehouse, driving, or customer service role.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift certification or other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to operate a box truck and/or cargo van.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in warehouse environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate cargo vans and box trucks in accordance with company policies.
  • Load and secure materials to ensure safe transportation and prevent damage during transit.
  • Deliver products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate delivery updates, delays, or customer concerns as needed.
  • Plan and organize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including picking, shipping, receiving, and put away when not making deliveries.
