Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Manager to oversee all electrical aspects of new residential and commercial swimming pool construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all electrical systems in compliance with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications. This role ensures high-quality installations and supports timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Coordination
    • Develop electrical scope of work for each new pool build.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project timelines and requirements.
    • Review pool designs and blueprints for electrical feasibility and compliance.
  • Electrical Installation & Oversight
    • Supervise and/or perform installation of pool-related electrical systems, including:
      • Pool lighting
      • Pump and filtration system wiring
      • Heating systems
      • Control panels and automation systems
      • Bonding and grounding systems
    • Ensure installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and safety standards.
  • Team Management & Leadership
    • Supervise electrical technicians and subcontractors on-site.
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality workmanship.
    • Provide training and guidance on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Inspection & Quality Control
    • Perform site inspections and testing to ensure safe and functional installations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during and after construction.
    • Coordinate with inspectors for permitting and final approvals.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, inspections, and changes.
    • Submit regular progress reports to project management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Required:
    • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (state-specific)
    • 5+ years of experience in electrical work, with at least 2 years in pool-related installations
    • Strong knowledge of NEC and pool electrical safety standards
    • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and wiring diagrams
    • Experience supervising crews or subcontractors
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with automation/control systems (e.g., Pentair, Hayward, Jandy)
    • OSHA 10/30 Certification
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Work Environment:
  • Outdoor and construction site work; exposure to weather conditions
