High School Diploma or GED required.Associate's Degree (AA/AS) in Engineering Technology or a related technical field is preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience working in an engineering lab, manufacturing, or test environment.Experience with mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or engineering technician responsibilities.Hands-on troubleshooting experience involving mechanical, electrical, or software-related systems.Experience with soldering and electronic assembly (including rework or solder reflow) is preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).Comfortable using Windows-based computer systems.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with CAD software (preferred but not required).Exposure to cable design or cable CAD is a plus.Familiarity with optical testing equipment and software.Experience supporting 3D printing technologies or post-processing printed parts.Background supporting engineering prototype development and validation testing.Work EnvironmentEngineering laboratory and manufacturing environment.Daily responsibilities include lab organization, equipment maintenance, testing, assembly, and prototype support.PPE will be provided, including:Lab CoatSafety GlassesNitrile GlovesDust Mask (as needed)Candidates should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes that cannot absorb liquids due to the laboratory environment.

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering teams in a fast-paced product development environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in both a laboratory and manufacturing setting, supporting prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining engineering labs.The successful candidate will wear multiple hats throughout the day, assisting with mechanical and electrical assemblies, prototype testing, lab maintenance, post-processing of 3D printed parts, and ensuring the engineering labs remain organized, stocked, and operating efficiently.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, assemble, and maintain mechanical and electrical prototypes, test fixtures, and engineering units.Support engineering teams with prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.Perform mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, soldering, and rework as required.Process and handle parts produced from various 3D printing technologies.Execute engineering tests with minimal supervision and accurately document test results.Troubleshoot hardware, electrical, and mechanical issues and communicate findings to engineering teams.Support optical testing equipment and associated software when required.Maintain engineering labs by organizing workspaces, restocking supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards.Dispose of waste materials and recycle lab materials according to established procedures.Clean equipment and components using approved chemicals and lab processes.Assist with manufacturing and assembly activities supporting engineering development projects.Prioritize multiple assignments throughout the day while effectively utilizing downtime during testing procedures.Create detailed documentation and communicate testing observations to cross-functional engineering teams.
