The Electrical Foreman is responsible for providing on-site direction and leadership that results in safely completing high quality projects within specified guidelines. Responsible for maintaining productivity, safety, quality control, labor cost, scheduling, movement of manpower, procurement of materials and any other activities impacting the successful completion of the project.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage crews on various projects, providing direction to ensure work is performed safely, and delivered on time, within budget and in compliance with quality standards
  • Responsible for maintaining productivity, quality control, and proactive procurement of materials and other activities related to successful completion of the project
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and any changes or challenges are effectively addressed
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
  • Monitor project progress, track material usage, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective measures as needed
  • Mentor and train electrical apprentices and team members

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years in the commercial electrical field with increasing responsibility
  • Current Massachusetts Electrical Journeyman License
  • Experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation duration
  • Demonstrated ability to plan effectively, order and track materials and perform cost projections
  • Understanding of National Electrical Code and installation methods
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high quality workmanship
  • Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft office and project planning tools
