Job description

Job Title: Instrument Technician 4

Location: Milford, MI

Contract duration: 52 Weeks

1st Shift with flexibility


Technical responsibilities (required)

  • Ability to solder small electrical components (e.g. 0805, 0402, etc.)
  • Experience with hot air reflow (e.g. IC replacement)
  • Assist engineers in root causing failed electrical components
  • Familiarity with bench lab equipment - Power supplies, oscilloscopes, load boxes, flash tools
  • Ability to create (design and build) wire harnesses
  • Build Test Boxes / Breakout boards
  • Mechanical assembly (hand tools) – ability to assemble and disassemble controllers
  • Ability to multitask and clearly document status per controller

Technical responsibilities (preferred)

  • Can follow Schematic Markup
  • Printed circuit board (PCB) check out and visual inspections

Education requirement – Associates Degree preferred but not required. High School Diploma is required

  • Years of experience - 8-10 years’ experience required
  • Electronics background (3-5 years of experience)
  • Someone hands on and that can work independently
  • Most of the team currently came from an automotive background which is nice and helpful, but not required

Top 3 skills

  • Ability to solder small electrical components (e.g. 0805, 0402, etc.)
