Highly accomplished Senior Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a strong foundation in instrumentation and control systems, specifically for turbomachinery. Possessing in-depth knowledge of instrumentation and controls, PLC, DCS, and LabVIEW platforms, coupled with practical experience in SolidWorks. Demonstrated ability to thrive in multicultural environments, complemented by valuable experience in conducting troubleshooting, failure and root cause analysis. Well-versed in a range of international electrical codes, including CSA, IEC, NEC, KCS, and CE.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an unwavering commitment to meeting and exceeding the company's stringent safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with both E&C Global and local engineering standards, alongside all other relevant industry standards.
  • Actively participate in the development of the Design Basis and contribute to innovative solution development for proposals.
  • Proficiently and efficiently create detailed electrical and control panel drawings for projects
  • Design and ensure the compliant installation of instrumentation and control systems, strictly adhering to all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Effectively utilize global standards to develop robust and efficient electrical designs.
  • Generate high-quality and accurate technical deliverables.
  • Actively attend and provide valuable contributions to Design Review meetings.
  • Offer technical guidance and robust support and training to other departments i.e projects, production, aftermarket, sales etc. as needed.
  • Perform thorough and effective Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.).
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of customer's technical documentation and requirements to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.(minimum)
  • Experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with 7-9 years of proven expertise in the design of electrical schematics, control panels, and instrumentation and controls systems.
  • A preference for candidates with 3+ years of experience within the Turbo-Expander or Pump System Engineering or Manufacturing environment, including the design of rotating equipment, is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, as this role requires seamless coordination across Projects, Proposals, Estimation, Sales, and Process & Systems Departments, as well as with various engineering disciplines.
  • The ability to produce well-articulated technical reports, supported by relevant data and references, is critical.
  • A strong understanding of diverse equipment and instrumentation utilized in cryogenic plants is expected.
  • Demonstrated very good problem-solving skills are necessary, with the capacity to make independent decisions effectively.
  • The successful candidate will possess the ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, operate independently, and have the flexibility to work partly from home.
  • Short-term travel, both locally or internationally may be required.
  • Very good knowledge in PLC and Labview.
  • Experience in electrical instrumentation and controls.
  • Experience with Solidworks.

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $125,000 - $155,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Air Liquide considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
