Job Description:
Security Installation Manager
Parsons is seeking an experienced Security Installation Manager to lead and oversee security system installation teams supporting U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide. This CONUS-based position requires approximately 35%-50% international travel in support of overseas Department of State facilities.
The Security Installation Manager will provide technical leadership and day-to-day supervision of Electricians and Security Technicians, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Department of State standards, project requirements, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and manage security system installation teams supporting U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and provide direction to Electricians and Security Technicians, ensuring team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise for the installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of security systems, including:
    • Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)
    • Access Control Systems
    • Intrusion Detection Systems
    • Emergency Notification Systems
    • Other electronic security systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues encountered during installation, testing, and system integration.
  • Coordinate daily installation activities with Program Leadership and Project Managers to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet established quality standards.
  • Ensure installations are completed in accordance with Department of State requirements, applicable codes and standards, project specifications, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Maintain quality control throughout the installation process and ensure all required project documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Submit daily project status reports to the Project Manager, Functional Manager, and/or Program Leadership.
  • Maintain and update project redlines and installation documentation on a daily basis.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Lead daily and weekly safety meetings and ensure required safety training and Tool Talks are completed and documented.
  • Stay current on security installation technologies, industry standards, installation methods, and safety practices.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Electricians and Security Technicians through hands-on training, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, quality workmanship, and professional standards across the installation team.
  • Support project mobilization, execution, testing, commissioning, and closeout activities as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Program Leadership.

What Required Skills You'll Bring
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical, electrical, electronic security, construction, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising technical installation teams.
  • Strong knowledge of security system installation, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, design packages, installation documents, and project specifications.
  • Ability to work effectively in demanding, remote, and international environments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally approximately 35%-50%.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring
  • Experience supporting Department of State overseas security installation projects.
  • Experience working with CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm, and other electronic security systems.
  • Electrical installation experience and working knowledge of the NEC.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse technical teams in challenging and remote environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities, manage multiple activities, and effectively allocate personnel and resources.
  • Experience coordinating installation activities with Project Managers, Program Leadership, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to train and mentor personnel on Department of State installation standards, security systems, installation procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Experience working on overseas Government or high-security facilities.
  • Ability to adapt to different cultures, working environments, schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve complex field issues while maintaining project schedules and quality standards.

Salary Range: $49.76 - $87.07
