Job description

Overview

We are seeking entry level candidates to work part time hours in office services and/or facilities services to join our team in NYC! Ideal candidates will be ready to grow their career in facilities and office services, and to take advantage of internal opportunities at IST Management for training and development toward advancement into management roles. The Office and Facilities Services Specialist will be responsible for fostering a professional and pleasant working environment by providing excellent customer service in the fields of general office services and facilities maintenance and coordination. 

Hours: Part-Time up to 29 hours a week

Hourly Compensation: $17.00/hr-$17.00/hr USD

Location and Hours vary by assignment but you must be able to work on Monday and Friday if requested.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Office services, to include: mailroom coordination and mail services, set ups and break downs for conference room meetings, shipping and receiving, copy and reprographics services, and general office assistance
  • Facilities services, to include: general upkeep and maintenance of facility with special care paid toward common areas, coordination with janitorial staff to ensure clean and safe environment, inspections and coordination of all vendor services for repairs/installations for all components of facility - including electrical, plumbing, elevator, parking lot etc., and office moves and space planning related tasks
  • Reception and administrative tasks, to include: front desk reception coverage, answering and directing calls from a multi-line phone system, general accounting tasks such as scanning and logging company checks, administrative tasks as assigned
  • Adhere to all safety procedures
  • Tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate schedule reliability by SMS/RCS/Text Messaging
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with online workspace "Slack"
  • 1+ year of experience in office services and/or facilities and maintenance services or a related field is required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required - degree may allow for accelerated path toward managerial roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • A valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
