Job description

Technical Service Representative

Jamison Door Company is looking for a Technical Service Representative to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. This is a full-time, on-site role and reports to the VP of Engineering & IT. The Technical Service Representative will be responsible for assisting customers and internal employees with any product issues they may have. While these issues will mostly be electrical in nature, there will also be a responsibility for mechanical operating issues, product warranty claims, and inspection of parts upon return. This position will also occasionally require travel to assist or do on-site training with customers in the field. This role is also responsible for assisting the engineering department with electrical design solutions, necessary updates with current products, and the development of new products.

This position will have primary responsibility for the Jamison, Jamison HPD, and future product lines. They will take the lead on calls for these products with support from the Jamison Engineering Department, but also help support BMP USA customers as well. They will be responsible for working closely with the technical service department for BMP USA, learning from one another, and creating a strong team that provides the BMP Group with industry-leading technical support.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent with three (3) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Detail oriented with a drive to learn and adapt.
  • Excellent mechanical skills, familiarity with power and hand tools.
  • Technically competent, quick study, and excellent people skills.
Standout Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of experience.
  • Associate's degree in the field or a related area.
  • Experience at a call center or hands on equipment repair work.
  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment.
  • Experience with ladder logic and wiring diagrams.
