Job description

Job Title: Electrical Technician


PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION:

Provide comprehensive technical skills to setup and test all model types. Critical skills required are robotic test which may require vocational or college level knowledge and experience with automation.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Test mechanical, electrical, application and safety attributes of paint automation to meet Manufacturing Test plans, standards and Engineering Specifications/Guidelines
  • Manufacturing Productivity: Know work schedule and meet schedule requirements daily
  • Process: Access control plans and quality documents; understand specifications and guidelines
  • Quality Inspection: Ensure product and workmanship meets FAC standards. Verify assembly and test results data is complete and within defined ranges
  • Care of Tooling/Equipment: Proper care and use of FAC tools and compliance with Tool Management Procedure
  • Housekeeping: Use a 5-S approach to organizing work area with team
  • Safety Compliance: Know and work to FANUC Basic Safety Training and Procedures (HAZ MAT, LOCKOUT, TAGOUT, robot safety, risk assessments, proper PPE)
  • ERP System: Complete work orders and all related work order tasks


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Solid communication skills, technical and non-technical (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic engineering documentation, prints, and schematics
  • Proficient with electrical and mechanical hand tools
  • Experience with safety procedures (MIOSHA regulations, Safety, Fork Truck, Lockout, Hazardous Material)
  • Disciplined approach to responsibilities without supervision
  • Technical communication skills

Experience/Education:

  • Background as Electrical Repair Technician, Quality Technician, Automotive Technician, Panel Technician, Maintenance Technician, or electrical apprentice
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic technical training with an electrical focus
  • Associate degree, Technical Certificate, or higher in electrical/Applied Science, or licensed/apprentice or equivalent experience
  • 1-5 years experience in manufacturing electrical assembly and test
  • Knowledgeable on ISO 9001 requirements (preferred)
